On March 23, the Suriname–EU Business Council (SEUBC) will host an online career event connecting diaspora and European professionals with real opportunities in Suriname.
Why
While many career paths traditionally point toward Europe, we believe the future is also being built elsewhere — and Suriname is one of those places. With a growing economy, ambitious companies and increasing international cooperation, this is the moment for professionals who want to build both their career and a country.
Who
The event will open with remarks from the EU Delegation (Guyana, Suriname & Caricom), with Ambassador Luca Pierantoni setting the tone for closer collaboration between Suriname and Europe. Followed by Gilbêrt van Lierop, former Ambassador of Suriname to Belgium, Austria & the European Union.
Leading employers including Fernandes Group, De Surinaamse Brouwerij and Kuldipsingh will participate, sharing insights into their organizations and the opportunities they offer for young professionals and returning diaspora.

In addition, several professionals who have already made the move to Suriname will share their personal experiences — why they chose Suriname, how they built their careers, and what the transition has meant for their lives.
